YOX rocks by connecting youth across miles

Four youth volunteers from San Francisco Bay Area continued with YOX program which was attended by nine students from Government High School, Anavarthikanpet in Ranipet district. Samyuktha Natesan, Krishna Nathan, Shreya Viswanathan and Ananya Anand from Bay Area facilitated sessions with topics ranging from conversations, grammar to inspirations.

Both the YOX sessions led by youth from Pennsylvania and California continue to motivate students in Tamil Nadu which is prevalent in the enthusiasm demonstrated session after session.

Do you know of a youngster who can speak in Tamil and is interested in building friendships across the seas? Contact us at youthdirector@tnfusa.org for more information about YOX program.

Note that the hours spent by our youngsters to prepare and participate in YOX program will qualify for volunteer hours for The President's Volunteer Service Award.

Chapter Reports

TNF Austin hosted a sold-out fund-raising event “Paati Aanaalum Party”, held at the historic Scottish Rite, Austin’s oldest theater built in 1871. Kalalaya Production, a local group in Austin who have been great supporters of TNF, staged a non-stop laughter filled comedy play. The audience added icing on the comedy cake by rallying to raise $10,400 on-the-spot to support Talking Pen Project for ABC Students in Coimbatore district.

We thank the sponsors, donors, participants and volunteers who helped raise a total of $26,789 to educate the under-privileged children of Tamil Nadu.

Upcoming Chapter Events

Central Florida chapter is hosting a Mother's day event on May 8th 2022.
