ABC Projects continue to expand impact
|
- On February 25th 2022, Dr Elango, CEO, TNF India inaugurated the ABC Project at Government Girls Higher Secondary School and Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Dharmapuri District, with the funding support from Dr. M. N. Inbavvazhvu Memorial Project.
- ABC project in Government Higher Secondary School, Kommadikottai, Thoothukudi district initiated in March 2022 with baseline tests scheduled.
- As part of National Library week, TNF organizes Essay writing and Elocution competitions in the month of November under Libraries are Temples project. Due to pandemic, we couldn't organize the competitions in 2021 and were organized in February, 2022 partnering with local libraries. A total of 654 students across 63 ABC schools contested in the competitions.
- Due to the pandemic, we have not been able to offer campus visits for 12th grade students. TNF organized "Orientation Program on Career Guidance" under ABC project to provide opportunity for students to learn about choices available in colleges. A team of Senior faculty members from reputed educational institutions from the respective districts were invited to facilitate the session. A total of 2337 students have benefitted with this initiative.
- During the month, soft skills training were conducted in 5 Schools. The chart below shows the number of beneficiaries of soft skills training thus far.

TNF helps Pandemic orphans
|
During the month, 36 students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School , Hosur, Krishnagiri District who lost their father to Covid received TNF scholarships. The Head Mistress of the School helped identify the beneficiaries.
Seven students from R.V Boys Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School, Mullai Nagar, Krishnagiri District who lost their parents to Covid were also awarded scholarship.

TNF Youth connect across the seas
|
Four youngsters (Krishna Nathan, Ananya Anand, Shreya Viswanathan, & Priya K) from TNF Bay Area Chapter have initiated TNF's second YOX (Youth Online eXchange) project led by Chapter Chairperson Ms. Meena Natesan, in Ranipet district.
Many students from ABC Schools in the district attended the first session with great enthusiasm on March 19th 2022. The session was coordinated by ABC Project coordinator Mr. Soundararajan.
