Dear Donors and Patrons,
We concluded the Golden Jubilee convention proceedings with a Volunteer appreciation event at Chicago. While we got an opportunity to thank many local volunteers, we sure have missed several of you who made a difference in your own way. Thank you for all the help you offered in whatever way possible. It sure took a village to host the Golden Jubilee celebrations. With the energy the success gave us, we look forward to the next 50 years!
With the new academic year underway, ABC projects have resumed and continue to grow. Your support is crucial in helping slow learners catch up with their peers. we have added three new schools to our growing list of ABC schools and we hope to add more in the future.
We are in the midst of a busy season of fund raisers in terms of walkathons and other events hosted by local chapters. Please join, volunteer and support your local chapter events. Help us spread the word about TNF, its work and impact and invite your friends to join the local chapter events to learn more.
Warm regards,
Veera Venugopal, President, TNF USA

North East Ohio Youth Co-lead fundraiser
|
The "L" in our youth brand Youth LOVES stands for Lead & Learn. North East Ohio Youth LOVES members learned and demonstrated their leadership skills by taking a lead on several activities during the Walkathon fund raiser hosted on August 25th. Several committees such as Food Logistics, Marketing, Raffles and Walk planning were led by High school volunteers under the guidance of adult volunteers.
The event was attended by 100+ supporters who were geared up to walk first thing in the morning. But, mother nature had different plans. Attendees enjoyed the traditional breakfast and learnt about TNF and activities during the year. Soon after the rains stopped, the enthusiastic attendees walked down the nature trail led by the youth. The youth volunteers hosted plant sale & metal recycling fund raisers during the event.
