Dear Donors and Patrons,
Thank you all for your ongoing support. Recent natural disasters have affected several parts of our country, causing unimaginable hardship for many. At TNF, we are committed to being good neighbors and doing our part to help. Please join us in supporting our efforts to assist those in need as they recover and rebuild their lives.
As communicated previously, we are in the process of revising our by-laws. Please keep an eye on your inbox for more details in the coming weeks. We truly appreciate all the input and feedback we've received, which has been invaluable in ensuring our by-laws remain relevant to today’s needs.

Two schools added to list of ABC projects
|
The Government Boys Higher Secondary School, R.K. Pet Thiruvallur district & Government Higher Secondary School, Vadamanapakkam, Thiruvannamalai district join the list of ABC schools with effective from 2nd January 2025. This brings the number of schools where TNF sponsors ABC projects to 107 across 30 districts.
Our special thanks to students of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for co-sponsoring the ABC project at Vadamanapakkam as part of Project Rishi. Look forward to information about what inspired them about ABC impact in a future edition of Eegai.

ABC students visit colleges
|
|
ABC students were taken to visit nearby colleges for an exposure visit. They attended an orientation on career opportunities, available courses and scholarships. The program conducted by TNF for several years aligns with the Government of TamilNadu's recent project named Naan Mudhalvan and has generated lot of interests amongst students.

Nutritional supplement helps prepare for exams
|
|
|
A total of 332 students of Vadasithur school in Coimbatore who attend special coaching classes during evenings as part of preparing for the public examination benefit from TNF's Nutritional Supplement project.

Remembering our lost members

Dr. Periakaruppa Chockalingam
(November 18th 1943 - December 15th 2024)
It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dr. Periakaruppa Chockalingam on December 15, 2024, in Florida.
Dr. Chockalingam served as the President of TNF from 2005 to 2007 and as the President of the American Tamil Medical Association. He was also a convenor for TNF and FETNA

conventions, exemplifying his commitment to Tamil and global communities.
A towering personality and a compassionate leader, Dr. Chockalingam enriched countless lives across the world through his remarkable contributions. His enduring legacy will continue to inspire and impact generations to come.

Sockalingam Suppiah
(August 12th 1966 - January 1st 2025)
It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Mr Sockalingam Suppiah on January 1st 2025 during his visit to Chennai, India.
Mr Suppiah moved to Chicago from Malaysia 40 years ago to pursue his undergraduate studies. The Tamil Sangam and TNF community became his family away from home. Known for his infectious laughter and boundless joy, Mr Suppiah brought warmth and happiness to people around him. He will be deeply missed.
