Unique Experience for U.S.-Born Tamils வேரோடு இணையும் விழுதுகள்!
About 35 high schoolers from various part of the U.S. are enjoying the TNF Service and Education Internships by volunteering in government schools, orphanages, libraries, and genetic labs in Tamil Nadu.
Muthanpallam is a tiny, remote hamlet in Pudukottai District. Students lost their bicycles to Cyclone Gaja and had to walk 5 kilometers to their schools. Thanks to the generosity of United Tamil Foundation in Dallas and Vaagai Women Empowerment group in Raleigh, the students received bi-cycles on time for the new school year and solar lights for their streets.
Inaugurate the TNF Digital Classrooms Pilot Project
The Deputy Speaker of Tamil Nadu Assembly Mr. Pollachi Jeyaraman inaugurated TNF’s Digital Classrooms Pilot Project at the Government Higher Secondary School in Vadasithur, near Coimbatore on July 24th. The objective of this pilot is to develop a cost effective digital classroom model that can be replicated in other government schools across the state as part of TNF’s ABC education initiative.
