The Nobel Prize for Economics in 2019 was awarded to Banerjee, Duflo, and Kremer for addressing poverty through education and health care. They have proven that one of the most impactful initiatives to alleviate poverty is targeting assistance to the lowest-performing students. The remedial tutoring advocated by these Nobel Laurates is a cornerstone of TNF’s ABC education initiative. The “A” in TNF’s ABC education initiative stands for “Achieving grade level proficiency” and that component targets the potential school dropouts and enables them to complete their high school.
