Talking pen becomes the talk of the town
|
Positive feedback and success stories from the initial projects has encouraged us to expand the implementation of LOOPS (Learning at One's Own Pace for Success) project to more ABC schools.
A total of 36 talking pens and 10 customized pens were distributed to Government Higher Secondary School, Chettipalayam and Government Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram.
A demonstration and training was provided to the ABC project staff for two days. Ms Valli Raghavan, Joint Treasurer, TNF was present during the training and witnessed the use of the Talking pen.

- Baseline tests were held for students from 6th-9th grades across 76 Schools. A total of 4059 students have been identified as slow learners and 111 teachers have been appointed to coach them.
- ABC project has been extended to two more schools - Government Higher Secondary School, Konavattam and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Katpadi in Vellore district. Baseline tests are in progress in these schools.
- Soft skill training was conducted at Valvil Ori GTR Higher Secondary School, Kolli hills, Namakkal district. The training which focused on social and emotional resilience was attended by 82 students from 10th grade.
