TNF continues to make a difference during Summer holidays

- Summer Camp
A summer camp for school students in and around Nerkuuppai is in progress at Somalay Memorial Branch Library, Nerkuppai. The camp which began on May 16th 2022 will run until June 9th 2022. The students attending the camp are trained in using computers, typewriting, DTP and drawing. In addition, group discussions and general knowledge sessions are also planned. Students also participate in several competitions such as reading books, drawing, essay writing and preparing documents.
- Internships @ Center for Medical Genetics
Two students studying B.Tech Genetic Engineering at SRM University are currently undergoing hands-on training in "Human Cytogenetic Analysis". Two more students from 2nd year B Tech received hands-on training in "Flouresence in situ technique: (FISH).

Next Gen continues to rock

YOX (Youth Online Xchange) program currently offered by our youth volunteers from SFO Bay Area and Philadelphia continues to make a positive impact on both volunteers in USA and attendees in India. Some of the activities during recent sessions include word scramble, word of the week, reading practice, learning sentence formation, Speaking in English, Learning Tamil and craft work. In addition to building new friendships, the participants in both India and USA benefit mutually.

The members of North East Ohio TNF Youth LOVE group spent the first few months of 2022 making art, crafts and book markers in addition to collecting household items including books & toys that they donated to Humble Design, a non-profit organization which changes lives and communities by furnishing the homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness.
On May 22nd, the young volunteers and their parents volunteered at Cleveland Marathon manning a water stop.
In addition to helping out their ancestral land, the young volunteers give back to their local communities through these efforts.
