Hello Everyone.
As another new year rolls in, I am sure we all have taken a moment to reflect upon the year that went by and count our blessings. Our association with TNF has placed us in a fortunate space where we have the capability to touch several lives and make a difference. I am grateful to all of you for your philanthropic efforts towards the TNF cause.
The recent cyclone related aftermath affecting Tamil Nadu is close to our hearts and the afflicted families are in our prayers. To offer our support in getting them back on their feet, TNF is working with local authorities. To raise funds for this cause, we are hosting a live music show on Saturday, Jan 6th, 2024. We request earnest support from all our members to help us raise funds by promoting this online event and making your contributions.
I am happy to share that our preparations for the Golden Jubilee event is in full swing. Our committee is finalizing the programs and will be releasing details soon. Please watch the social media platforms for updates. To register for the convention, visit convention.tnfusa.org. (Early bird specials end tonight)
I have been involved with TNF for the past 25 years in various capacities including participant, volunteer, local board member, running multiple national conventions and leader of this great organization built by several erstwhile leaders. I am often fending the question of how TNF is different from other charitable organizations. Several people have offered several reasons, and I did some of my own research. My summation of TNF is that TNF provides 'Charity as Service‘ based on the category the organization has been approved to work under the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) guidelines. The chart below explains it all and we are the only organization working under this framework where the focus is on the requestor.
We are working on several initiatives and will keep you updated. As always, thank you for your continued support.
On behalf of the TNF board members and myself, here’s wishing you all a blessed New Year 2024!

Everything is double in Dallas
|
On Dec 2nd 2023, TNF Dallas wrote a new slogan - Everything is double in Dallas.
Yes, the members and patrons came together and raised a little more than $100,000 to benefit two causes, thousands of miles apart. The beneficiaries of the evening event were the Juvenile Girl Children Prison at Kelly's Chennai and the victims of Maui wildfire.
The evening event also had a double treat for attendees - நிழலின் நிஜம், a dance musical and a comedy skit combo. The entertainment was topped by volunteer prepared holiday delicacies.
