TNF's annual year-end virtual concert live from Chennai has become our tradition since the pandemic days. It gives us all an opportunity to come together and celebrate the success of the year and do the year end donations generously. Keeping up with the traditions, TNF is glad to bring you a concert with amazing talent line-up. Your support in terms of attendance, spreading the word and donations are imminent for a grand success. Let us end the year in a grand manner, setting stage for TNF50.
At this time, I am proud to share that TNF has been awarded a 4 star rating by Charity Navigator. This is a significant milestone in our efforts to increase transparency and accountability. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and supporters who made this happen. We will share more about what this means to us in an upcoming Eegai.

Nagammai Bhaskar currently serves as the secretary of the TNF board after having been the joint secretary for the last two years. Her association with TNF has been long standing since TNF took Anbalayam in Sirgali under its wings. As the committee chair for the trade fair at the Philadelphia convention in 2010, she has been looking for more ways to engage the next generation in TNF related activities. With the help of youth members in the Philadelphia region she was able to establish the first chapter of the Youth online exchange at the Nerkuppai Somalay library which has been an ongoing mutually beneficial program that engages youth in India and in the US.

TNF difference continues to develop ABC schools
|
|
TNF celebrates Library week during 3rd week of November every year, when high school students are encouraged to read and refer books using library through various competitions such as Essay writing & Elocution. A total of 1746 Students across 84 ABC schools have participated in preliminary level competitions held at school level as part of TNF's Libraries are Temples program. District level competitions are in progress.

A total of 252 deserving students across 14 ABC schools at Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurari and Namakkal Districts received free school uniforms. It is to be noted that students above 9th standard don't benefit from Government's free uniforms program. The beneficiaries of TNF's efforts have either lost both of their parents or live with a single parent. The uniforms distributed were worth ₹ 1,77,320.

College exposure visits provide ABC students an opportunity to learn the options in higher studies they could pursue. So far, 1353 students across 23 ABC schools from 10th and 12th grade have visited their nearby colleges. These schools span across 8 districts (Theni, Dinidgul, Thoothukudi, Thirunelveli, Tenkasi, Cuddalore, Ariyalur & Sivagangai). The visits for other ABC schools are in progress. This program benefits many first generation college aspirants and they are motivated by what they see the road ahead offers them.

Soft skills training program helps students identify strengths and opportunities and learn how to transform their opportunities into strengths. The program offered in 80 ABC schools across 26 districts has benefitted a total of 5955 students thus far this academic year.
