President & Convention Coordinator's Remarks - Reflections from TNF52, with Gratitude and Purpose!
|
Dear TNF Family,
Vanakkam.
As the lights come down on the Tamil Nadu Foundation’s 52nd Annual Convention in Detroit, our hearts are filled with gratitude, pride, and renewed purpose. What we witnessed over the Memorial Day weekend was more than a convention. It was a beautiful coming together of donors,

volunteers, chapters, leaders, artists, speakers, youth, families, and well-wishers — all united by one mission: to uplift the college dreams of deserving students in Tamil Nadu.
TNF52 was made possible by the hard work of the Michigan Chapter, the convention committees, TNF Board members, chapter leaders, youth volunteers, sponsors, donors, performers, speakers, vendors, and hundreds of helping hands behind the scenes. An event of this scale takes months of planning, countless hours of coordination, and a deep commitment to service. We are grateful to every person who made this convention a memorable and purpose-driven success.

A Convention with a Lasting Purpose
The central goal of TNF52 was to strengthen our scholarship corpus and support higher education for deserving students. Because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, we are now closer to creating a lasting source of support that will help students year after year.
The phrase we carried through this convention — “Uplifting College Dreams” — was not just a slogan. It was the purpose behind every program, every donation, every volunteer hour, and every gathering during the weekend.

A Weekend of Programs and Inspiration
TNF52 brought together meaningful discussions, cultural programs, business and youth sessions, chapter participation, donor recognition, and entertainment. The release of the Annual Report, Supplemental Report, and TNF overview also marked an important step in sharing TNF’s work, impact, and future direction more clearly with our community.
We are especially grateful to all speakers, performers, cultural teams, food vendors, venue staff, marketing partners, and service providers who contributed to the overall experience of the convention.
To our donors and sponsors, we offer our heartfelt thanks. Your generosity is the foundation of TNF’s ability to serve. Every contribution, large or small, helps open the door of opportunity for a student who dreams of going to college but may not have the means to do so.
Your support will continue to make an impact long after the convention memories fade. It will live on through students, families, schools, and communities across Tamil Nadu.
To everyone who attended TNF52, thank you for bringing your enthusiasm, warmth, and encouragement. Your presence made the convention vibrant and meaningful.
To our volunteers and organizing team, words are not enough. From registration to food, stage management to hospitality, seating to transportation, program coordination to crisis management, you made a complex event feel smooth and welcoming. Many attendees shared that the event felt seamless, joyful, and well-organized. That is a tribute to your dedication and teamwork.

Learning continues during scorching heat
|
|
As temperatures soar this summer, children are actively participating in educational and recreational camps across Tamil Nadu.
In Cuddalore district, TNF started computer classes for 15 students of Classes 6 to 8 at Government High School, Sakkankudi, from May 2, 2026.
At Somalay Memorial Library, Nerkuppai, around 37 children from Classes 1 to 9 are attending a summer camp featuring art and craft, drawing, reading, games, yoga, handwriting, dance, drama, and English classes.
The camps are helping children stay engaged, learn new skills, and spend their summer vacation productively despite the scorching heat.
