Transportation:
Closest airport to the cruise terminal – Long Beach Airport (11 miles), LAX airport (24 miles). Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Los Angeles International Airport or Long Beach Airport to Port of Long Beach on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.
Things to do:
Make it a holiday and enjoy Southern California or as we call it – SoCal
Make it an extended trip and visit San Diego, enjoy the beaches, historic downtown, SeaWorld, Legoland and more….
You can also drive along Highway 1 to enjoy the breathtaking views of the pacific coast. Drive up to Santa Barabara or Solvang- a Danish town, and drive back to LA. You may need a couple days to do this.
Places to stay:
If visiting Disneyland Or California Adventure Park, the best place to stay is in Anaheim.
There are many hotels in Long Beach, if you are just going on the cruise, that is the best place to stay.
LA traffic may be really bad, so please plan to stay close to where you are visiting.
