Dream Carriers

Every Dream Begins with Someone Who Cares

Every great change begins with a simple act of kindness.

Dream Carriers is an initiative of the TNF Young Adults & Emerging Professionals (YAEP) Committee that unites the fundraising efforts of Youth LOVES volunteers across the United States into one shared mission—to transform small acts of generosity into life-changing opportunities.

Throughout the year, young volunteers dedicate their time, creativity, and passion to organizing fundraisers within their chapters and communities. Whether it’s hosting a bake sale, leading a charity walk, selling handmade crafts, or creating a unique fundraising event, every effort reflects a commitment to serving others.

On their own, these fundraisers may seem modest. Together, they become something extraordinary.

Rather than allowing each fundraiser to end with a single event, Dream Carriers brings every contribution into a shared Dream Fund. This collective approach demonstrates the power of unity: when hundreds of young people each give what they can, they create opportunities that none could achieve alone.

During the months of April and November every year, representatives from the YAEP Committee and Youth LOVES chapter leaders come together to review needs of their friends in TNF ABC schools and determine how the Dream Fund can make the greatest impact. This collaborative process ensures that the generosity of our volunteers is guided by compassion, responsibility, and a shared commitment to helping others pursue brighter futures.

Dream Carriers is more than a fundraising initiative. It is a movement that empowers young people to become lifelong changemakers, teaching them that leadership begins with service and that even the smallest act of kindness can help carry someone’s dream forward.

Because every fundraiser has a purpose. Every volunteer has a voice. And every dream deserves a chance.

1. Raising Funds

Throughout the year, Youth LOVES Clubs and individual Youth LOVES volunteers organize fundraisers during chapter events or through their own initiatives.

The funds raised are voluntarily contributed to the TNF Dream Carriers Fund, where they are combined with donations from chapters across the country. We also welcome contributions from individuals, families, and well-wishers who wish to support the Dream Carriers initiative. Donations can be made through our donation page at tnfusa.org/donate.

2. Reviewing the Fund

As the Dream Carriers Fund grows throughout the year, the YAEP Committee, under the guidance of the Director of Youth, convenes a review meeting. Representatives from participating Youth LOVES Clubs and Youth LOVES Coordinators are invited to take part.

During the meeting, the current status of the fund is reviewed, and the Chennai team presents potential beneficiary projects and causes for consideration.

3. Selecting the Causes

The committee discusses the proposed initiatives, evaluates their impact and need, and reaches a consensus on the causes to support. Based on the funds available, the committee allocates the amount to each selected project.

4. Approvals and Implementation

The funding recommendations are communicated by the Director of Youth to the TNF Treasury Team, VP Projects, and the Chennai team. All approvals, fund disbursement, and project execution follow TNF’s established governance and financial processes.

Sample Initiatives

The following are examples of initiatives that may be supported through the Dream Carriers Fund. This list is reviewed regularly based on current needs and priorities.

  • Distribution of school backpacks for students who do not receive government-provided supplies.

  • Distribution of exam preparation kits for students appearing for Grade 10 and Grade 12 public examinations.

  • Support for educational and community development initiatives identified by the Chennai team.

Recognition

Every Youth LOVES volunteer who contributes their time, effort, and fundraising towards the Dream Carriers initiative will be recognized for their commitment to making a difference.

Our volunteers will be recognized through:

  • Listing their names, fundraising activities, and funds raised on the Dream Carriers website.

  • Publishing their contributions in Eegai, TNF’s newsletter.

  • Presenting each volunteer with a Certificate of Recognition for their contribution to the Dream Carriers project. Certificates may be awarded electronically or presented during a chapter event.

  • Sharing updates on fund disbursement and the impact of supported projects through Eegai and the Dream Carriers website, so volunteers can see how their collective efforts are changing lives.
