Serve Local

While TNF’s primary mission is to raise funds and create meaningful impact in underprivileged communities across Tamil Nadu, we also recognize the importance of serving the communities where we live, learn, and thrive.

TNF Youth LOVES Club members actively demonstrate this commitment through service projects that benefit their local communities. Each club is committed to organizing and participating in at least one community service initiative every quarter.

These projects are typically identified, planned, and led by the club officers, providing valuable opportunities for youth to develop leadership, teamwork, and project management skills. Chapter Youth LOVES Coordinators and parent volunteers serve as mentors and guides, supporting the students throughout the planning and execution process.

Through these service efforts, our youth volunteers not only make a positive difference in their local communities but also embody the spirit of compassion, responsibility, and civic engagement that defines TNF.

Any member of the Youth LOVES Club is welcome to serve as a Project Lead or Co-Lead for a Serve Local project. Project leaders play an important role in planning, organizing, and coordinating community service activities.

Project Lead Responsibilities

  1. Submit a Serve Local project proposal to the Club Officers and the Youth LOVES Coordinator.

  2. Work with the Club Officers and Youth LOVES Coordinator during the project review and approval process.

  3. Recruit co-leads and volunteer team members as needed.

  4. Lead the planning, organization, and execution of the project.

  5. Provide periodic progress updates to the Youth LOVES Coordinator and Club Officers throughout the project.

  6. Submit a final project report to the Youth LOVES Coordinator and Club Officers after the project is completed.

Project Approval

All Serve Local projects must be reviewed and approved by the Club Officers, with guidance from the Youth LOVES Coordinator, before project activities begin.

Club-Initiated Projects

The Club Officers and/or the Youth LOVES Coordinator may also initiate Serve Local projects and recruit Project Leads, Co-Leads, and volunteer team members to support those efforts.
