Home » TNF – Happy Reading
Many underprivileged students in Tamil Nadu have limited exposure to reading and speaking English fluently. The Happy Reading program was created to bridge this gap and build strong foundational reading skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Through this initiative, TNF volunteers dedicate a few hours each week to connect with students via an online platform. Using a structured and pre-defined curriculum, volunteers guide children step-by-step in learning how to read in English with clarity and confidence. The program focuses on:
Improving pronunciation and fluency
Strengthening vocabulary
Building reading comprehension
Beyond literacy, the Happy Reading Program nurtures self-belief and opens doors to greater academic and personal opportunities. With consistent mentoring and guided practice, children gradually transform from hesitant readers into confident learners.
Empowering children – one page at a time.
We welcome passionate individuals who are committed to making a difference in a child’s learning journey.
Eligibility:
High school students seeking volunteer hours and who have a genuine interest in helping others
Adults who enjoy reading and are passionate about mentoring children (Who said only kids could have the fun of giving :))
