Initiated in 2014, TNF internship provides an unique opportunity for US born youth of Tamil heritage to:

Link with their ancestral roots in Tamil Nadu
Volunteer and learn through TNF’s educational and humanitarian projects in different parts of Tamil Nadu
Develop leadership and team building skills
Benefit from TNF’s 40+ years of track record in serving needy Tamils

It is a two week program conducted in multiple batches during summer. Number of internship positions are limited due to logistics.

Students must have completed 8th grade prior to starting the internship and preferably freshman to senior in high school
Reasonable fluency in spoken Tamil
Flexibility in adapting to project sites, essential for a good internship experience
Interns will be required to attend a one-day orientation at TNF’s Chennai Office and then volunteer at one or maximum two TNF internship centers
Interns will be financially responsible for their travel (to and from Tamil Nadu), lodging and meals
TNF’s Chennai office will coordinate accommodation (where needed), travel within Tamil Nadu and program logistics
